Dr. Tim Vanderpyl is a strategy consultant, business professor and executive coach. Before becoming a professor, he worked in executive positions in the social services, healthcare, oil/gas and government sectors. He teaches HR, Organizational Behaviour and Marketing courses at Ambrose University and teaches as a sessional instructor at Trinity Western University and in the Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary. Dr. Vanderpyl holds a Master of Arts in Leadership, a Doctorate in Strategic Leadership and is a Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR). He lives in Calgary, Alberta with his wife and three children.

Employers seem reluctant to employ seniors despite their high academic degrees and working experiences. Age looks frightening to them. And the younger ones are quitting jobs in droves. I am conducting a research study that touches on aspects of the wasting-out talents of such seniors, even when they are sound and healthy physically and mentally.
